Livezey Homestead Covered Bridge

GPS Location on Forbidden Drive: 40.0483283,-75.2137987

This covered bridge is long gone, but some of the remains are still on the site. I believe it was used by the Livezey family to cross over the Wissahickon and eventually get to Ridge Ave. The main road during that time was Ridge Avenue. It is amazing to think about the advanced engineering during that time. If you were out for a stroll today, you would have no idea that this bridge ever existed. This picture below was taken on Forbidden Drive. If you look close, you can see the Glen Fern house on the other side of the Wissahickon. I believe this would have been the entrance/exit to get onto the covered bridge.
